The Story:
This is a nice issue all around, making sure each character (the two heroes and the villain) get plenty of attention. It starts with Wolverine being spied on while spending some quality time bonding with mother nature. Soon he's attacked by a hundred or so medieval looking knights with high tech weaponry. After a hard fought battle The knights eventually win by gassing Wolvie. Meanwhile in the city a fleet of air ships is dispatched to find Spider-Man. After a brief battle, where Spidey lays the smack down, the remaining ships retreat and get tagged with a spider-tracer for their trouble. It's soon revealed that a mysterious man by the name of professor power is pulling all the strings. He mentions that Super-Heroes need to be studied, so can decided how they will fit into his new world order. Spider-Man eventually tracks down the air soldiers who attacked him, to the Professors castle. After both Wolverine and Spider-Man defeat a few of the professors lame traps, they meet inside the castle. Once together they come across a robot who informs them of the Professors plan. The plan is really a test, the robot tells them that a city, and a prison are about to be destroyed, killing everyone inside both. It also shows them the way to their captors, and then tells them that they must choose what to do. I don't want to completely ruin the book, especially since I highly recommend picking it up. So I just say this, one of our two heroes isn't to excited about saving a bunch of criminals. Two guesses as to who it is ; )
The Grade:
B+, The action sequences are a bit week, but the story is great.
