The Story: The fourth in a series that finds Spider-Man, Shang-Chi, Nick Fury, and a Black Widow, freshly recovered from amnesia, fighting a bunch of hypnotized S.H.I.E.L.D. agents on board the S.H.I.E.L.D. heli-carrier. Viper and Silver Samurai have taken over the heli-carrier to complete a plot to assassinate, then president, Jimmy Carter. The story also involves a romance between Spidey and the Black Widow. Before Black Widow got her memory back she believed she was Nancy Rushman, a school teacher who had a crush on Spider-Man after he saved her life. The whole comic is narrated by Shang-Chi instead of Spider-Man, which is a nice change of pace. Shang-Chi is a under rated character who had a few stories thrown his way in the 70's, but disappeared in the early 80's. Spider-Man takes care of Silver Samurai, while Nick Fury and Shang-Chi recover control of the helli-carrier, which leaves a cat fight worthy of G.L.O.W. (Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling) between Viper and Black Widow. The end wraps up nicely with the Black Widow letting Spider-Man down easy and the presidents life saved.

The Grade: A+, Claremont+Buscema=Good
